At the Waynesboro Family YMCA Childcare Center, your child’s day is filled with fun and learning. Hands-on activities provide children the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
From full day care to afterschool care, Y kids are engaged in developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day. We build on your child’s natural desire to learn new things and become more self reliant.
All children are encouraged to get along with others, share, take turns, work in a group setting, play games, and learn new crafts. This all takes place in a safe, secure, and stimulating environment. All children in our program are taught the Y’s core values of CARING, RESPECT, HONESTY, and RESPONSIBILITY.
The Waynesboro Family YMCA Childcare Center achieves quality childcare through dedication and commitment to the YMCA, its members and children; as a family first and then as a business. We strive to be partners with parents so that the children in our care grow up happy, healthy and strong.
We are licensed through the Virginia Department of Social Services for children ages 2 years 9 months-age 12. Our staff are CPR-, first aid-, and MAT-certified. Our staff receives on-going training throughout the year through staff in services, college credit classes, and trainings offered by agencies throughout our community.
To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
